Argus
Argoflex E
The Argoflex E was produced from 1940-1948 in the U.S.A. It has a Bakelite body with a metal hood. It has gear coupled lenses which allow you to focus with the reflex viewfinder. This is a very nice feature compared to the cheaper plastic cameras with fixed focus lenses. Its not as smooth or a solidly built as a Rolleiflex, but not as heavy or expensive either! It has an Argus Varex Shutter with speeds of T B 200 100 50 25 and 10. It has an f4.5 75mm Anastigmat lens. It takes 6x6 exposures on 620 film. You can't still buy 620 at photo stores, but you can get it online or you can respool 120 film which is still readily available. Its a nice fun snapshot camera!
